LM3 Linear Bearing | LM3 Open / LM3UU / LM3L / LM3LUU Specification And Application

The LM3 is a miniature high-precision linear ball bearing with standard dimensions of 3×7×10mm. Made of high-carbon bearing steel with precision heat treatment and internal grinding, it delivers low friction, smooth linear movement and excellent repeat positioning accuracy. This compact linear bushing supports unlimited linear travel on smooth guide shafts, widely used for small automated machinery and precision motion systems. The LM3 series covers four mainstream types: LM3 open type, LM3UU sealed type, LM3L long type and LM3LUU long sealed type, meeting different stroke, dustproof and load requirements.

LM3 Bearing Material Features

All LM3 series bearings adopt high-quality bearing steel outer sleeve and precision steel balls, with high hardness, strong wear resistance and long fatigue life. The lightweight nylon resin retainer ensures flexible ball circulation, effectively reducing running noise and friction resistance. After integral quenching and finish grinding, the bearing surface features high dimensional stability, anti-deformation performance and smooth motion output, supporting long-term high-frequency reciprocating linear operation.

LM3 Open Type

The standardLM3 open bearing features an open grooved structure without sealing rings. The open design enables excellent heat dissipation during continuous high-speed operation and allows easy lubrication replenishment. It fits closely with guide shafts to reduce motion resistance, ideal for clean, dust-free indoor working environments. This lightweight and cost-effective model is the basic universal version for general precision linear motion equipment.

LM3UU Double Sealed Type

LM3UU is equipped with double rubber end seals on both sides, providing full dustproof and oil-proof protection. The UU sealing structure effectively blocks fine dust, debris and moisture from entering the internal ball circuit, preventing abrasion and lubricant leakage. It maintains stable precision in slightly dusty workshops and conventional industrial environments, greatly extending service life. It is the most widely used sealed model for daily automated equipment.

LM3L Long Type

LM3L is an extended-length open linear bearing based on the standard LM3 structure. The longer contact length increases the ball bearing area, significantly improving radial load capacity and motion stability. It minimizes shaking and deflection during long-stroke movement, solving the instability issue of standard short bearings under heavy loads. Designed for high-precision and high-rigidity linear systems, it suits long-travel motion mechanisms with no sealing requirements.

LM3LUU Long Sealed Type

LM3LUU combines extended length and double-sided UU sealing structure, integrating high load capacity and full environmental protection. It features enhanced rigidity and anti-deflection performance while retaining excellent dustproof and anti-fouling ability. This premium model adapts to complex working conditions with dust and slight humidity, delivering stable high-precision operation under long-stroke and heavy-load cycles.

Industrial Applications

LM3 series miniature linear bearings are widely applied in precision automation fields. LM3 open and LM3L open types are suitable for clean laboratory equipment, precision instruments and small automated sliding mechanisms. LM3UU and LM3LUU sealed versions are commonly used in 3D printers, miniature robotic arms, electronic assembly machinery and small CNC equipment, supporting stable and low-noise linear motion in miniature automated systems.

Product Summary: LM3 series provides universal open, dustproof sealed, long-type high-rigidity and long-sealed all-round solutions. With compact size, low friction and high precision, these bearings fully meet miniature precision linear motion demands for light and medium-load automated equipment.
